I’ve been everywhere man!

You know the song?  Well I have been.  Yikes.  And my camera battery charger was stolen at the airport so I can’t upload photos which is why I haven’t posted in a while.  (insert sad face!)

So since my last post (which I didn’t get the graphic for mother’s day posted.  sorry!) I have been to Donna Downey’s Inspired, then my last show with Rusty Pickle in Buffalo NY, then Orlando with Tattered Angels, then Arlington TX with Melissa Frances, then off for two weeks (Praise God!) then to Chantilly, VA with Melissa Frances, off a week (but was at VBS with my church), then to Atlanta with Melissa Frances!

Wheew!  Only wish I got to scrap during that time.  Sometimes I feel like I’ve lost the love of this industry and its just become a job.  Then I do a layout and remember why I love it!  OOOh I do have a layout to show you!  I did this one for Scrapbook Chicks and they featured it on the Finished in Fifteen!  Take a look:

That used the My Mind’s Eye Jack and Jill line!  I love it!  I love getting that box from Scrapbook Chicks.  It’s like Christmas!  Yay!

Tonight on Scrapbook Chicks blog they are doing a Finished in Fifteen!  It will be great!

So what am I working on now?  Let’s see. . . just booked the fall retreat (more about that in a couple of days), just got my box from Scrapbook Chicks (yay!), oh!, and I am working on Back to School gifts for teachers.  Any fabulous ideas?  I want to do a hybrid card, so I’ll share the art I do for that.  Other than that, I’m golden for another two and a half weeks.  Maybe I can clean my house in that time. Yeah right!

Talk to you soon!  (Maybe tomorrow!)

Fall is in the air!

In Alabama there are really only two seasons: Hot and Not so Hot.  We have finally hit the not so hot although according to the news we will be back to HOT by the weekend.  But man this cool air has put me in the fall mood.  So, yesterday I started pulling out the fall decorations.  I had started working on my monthly Rusty Pickle projects already and decided to go completly fall!  I am very pleased with my new entry way sign:

Welcome Fall

Then I made a set of 3 cards which I think I’m going to give to Faith’s teacher:

Thanks for looking and

It’s a blog hop!

Welcome Hoppers!!! I am so glad you have made it my way! I am at a scrapbook retreat with bad lighting so please excuse the bad photo, I will scan this when I get home on Sunday and give you guys a better view! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you make my blog and Rusty Pickle a regular stop!

Below is a fabulous layout featuring my very good friend Amy’s daughter Harper and her grandfather, Papa.

Measure of Love

For you first time “hoppers” this is how it works. You start at the Rusty Pickle Blog and “hop” across visiting a series of Blogs where each will link to the next “stop”. Each Chef will have a Rusty Pickle creation to share for inspiration and will have a link to whatever Blog you should visit next. As a added bonus, after visiting all the Blogs, come back to the Rusty Pickle blog and post a comment with what your favorite project was.  On Monday, we will be randomly selecting a winner to get a fabulous “Pickled Prize”.

So get your “Hop” on and “Hop” on over to our talented chef Mou to see what she has created.

Tell me what your favorite Rusty Pickle line is and you could win some great Rusty Pickle goodies!  I will draw a winner Tuesday morning.  So be sure to check back, you may just win a prize!

Back into the groove

Yesterday was a quiet day around the house.  Drew spent the day at the farm, Faith with her Aunt Nicole and Scott worked.  So what did I do?  Get back to my first love: preserving memories.  One is for the Daily Inspirationsteam so I can’t show it yet. But, I loove this layout. I had been looking locally for 6×12 protector sheets and was just about to break down and make my own when my wonderful Secret Sister Jenny sent me some. So, of course I had to scrap a 6×12 LO. And I looove this size. Soooooo fun! TFL!

My Little Shoebox

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end Hebrews 3:14

So I was web surfing the end of last week and came across a company I had never heard of My Little Shoebox! I fell in love! Their stuff rocks! So I immediantly ordered some. Well the box came today!!!!! As soon as I opened it I knew what I wanted to do! What do you think?

And it is using a picture Faith took of Drew and me this afternoon! Isn’t he handsome!!! Photobucket

A new LO!

This LO is one of my new favs! Not crazy about how the painting on the pic turned out but the painting around the circles I love!

New LO’s and blog headers!

Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
Genesis 5:24

I really hope when people think of me they think, She walks with God.  How awesome a thought!

Now, this a Layout that I recently completed.  I have had this picture since Faith’s 3rd birthday but couldn’t figure out quite what to do with it.  I’m pleased with how it turned out!  And you know I love me some buttons!!!

And now a blog header! This is for a friend of a friend!
